I am running a series of workshops on alternative photography methods and arts and crafts techniques. They follow on from my love of the wild outdoors and use natural elements to create unique and original artwork.
The first workshop will be cyanotype based and held on Brighton beach on the 29th September from midday.
This is a short introductory workshop to cyanotype printmaking. We will be exploring the art of cyanotypes and printmaking through practical application as well as discussing ways to make art whilst being in touch with and mindful of the environment around us. I will introduce various techniques and all participants will leave with their own original prints.
I will provide all materials including paper and a selection of natural objects to print. Please bring any objects that you want to print and any ideas you wish to explore.
We will meet at the sea sculptures along the beachfront in Kemptown. From there, we can walk down to the sea and make our prints!
If the weather is really rainy or unsuitable, the workshop will be rescheduled.
