Portrait of two women relaxing on a Persian rug- handmade Lino print in blue

This picture was inspired by the covid-19 isolation motto #stayhomesavelives. Although originally illustrated in the summer, it feels as relevant now in covid ridden winter. I have translated it into a lino print. 

It depicts two nude, female figures relaxing on a Persian rug. The empty figures contrast with the detail of the rug. They are surrounded by wine glasses, an empty bottle and scattered playing cards. This is a digital print of my original, hand-drawn illustration.

My prints are all unique designs, hand carved and printed individually using nineteenth century antique printing presses. I use the highest quality inks and heavyweight paper to ensure that the designs really pop. These colourful prints are all one of a kind and can never be exactly reproduced.
