Queering Spaces
In February 2021, I exhibited my series 'Queering the Landscape' as part of the exhibition 'Queering Spaces'. This was curated by Socially Engaged Art Salon, Brighton as part of LGBTQIA+ History Month and displayed at The Ledward Centre.
This project was created during the first lockdown in 2020 and aimed to offer an alternative to the overwhelming saturation of queer art with portraiture. It questioned how spaces can reflect the ambiguous and fluid nature of gender and sexuality, and whether spaces can be considered queer spaces without any queer bodies inhabiting them?
Below is the news clip from BBC South East which featured the exhibition.
