An English Autumn

This little blackbird was so tame, I got right up unbelievably close to her. It was such an intimate moment and no need to break out the telephoto zoom. Okay, so she might not be as flash as some of the birds with blue feathers I saw every day in Nepal but she has big eyes and I like her. It’s been two years since I’ve seen an English autumn. Summer in the City: foraging for cocktails

It muggy and my t-shirt clings to me as I pedal my bicycle around London. Shards of dust gather and sting in my eyes. I can only imagine how my lungs must feel. The buses that I squeeze past belch out grimy, sweltering heat. Everything is grey: the concrete streets, the sky that threatens rain, even most of the people trudge greyly through the clammy air.
